Congratulations on this Number One Wednesday to Sam Hunt, who's album Montevallo is at the top of the country charts again for the second week since it hit stores October 27th. But the top song in the USA this week belongs to the Chief!

Eric Church was last on the top of the charts the week of May 17th 2014, and has planted his song flag on top of the music mountain a total of 5 times since the start of his record career in 2006:

  1. Drink In My Hand  (January 2012)
  2. Springsteen  (June 2012)
  3. The Only Thing I Know with Luke Bryan & Jason Aldean  (February 2013)
  4. Give Me Back My Hometown  (May 2014)
  5. Talladega  (January 2015)

The Chief's latest song, paying homage to the famous Alabama super speedway, is more about friendship and memories than it is a song for NASCAR fans. The music video, released in early December, follows a touching story about a man at the end of his life remembering all of his great memories...

Especially if you are or were a young man, do you remember road trips or other epic events while bonding with friends? My favorite line in this song is so descriptively bound with friendship and racing references:

"I think about us shoulder to shoulder,
Like those cars my thoughts roll over and over and over,
In my mind..."
