The #12 ranked Golden Gopher men’s basketball team lost at Northwestern Wednesday by a final score of 55-48. It was the third straight loss for Minnesota, who falls to 15-4 overall and 3-3 in Big Ten play.

The Gophers led by three at the half but went cold from the floor in the second half. At one point Minnesota missed 12 straight three-pointers. Andre Hollins finally hit a triple with 35 seconds left, but it was too little too late.

The Gophers turned the ball over 15 times in the game, with Andre Hollins tallying seven himself.

Minnesota is at Wisconsin for a Saturday matinee.

Other top 25 scores last night included #25 Miami defeating #1 Duke 90-63, #7 Indiana topped Penn State 72-49, #8 Florida beat Georgia  64-47, La Salle upset #9 Butler 54-53 and Drake upset #17 Creighton 74-69.
