The University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis said they finally delivered a girl!  This was after 19 boys were born in the hospital since November 23rd.This past weekend was the longest uninterrupted streak of baby boys.

Assuming that each birth has a 50-50 chance of producing a boy, the probability of a streak like this is one in 524,288.

The run of boys ended around 7:30 a.m. Monday with the birth of Ladan Ibrahim, the  daughter of Mohammed Guled and Naima Bashir. What's even better?  Guled is the chief executive of a Bloomington-based company that sells diapers. He thought the whole situation was so incredible,  he decided to donate three months' worth of diapers to the 19 families with new baby boys!
