7th Grader Punished For Twerking at School Event [VIDEO]

Punishment
23ABC News, Bakersfield

Ever since Miley Cyrus’ performance at the Video Music Awards, I feel like all we hear about is twerking.  The mere pronunciation of the word irritates me as much as the moves associated with it.

A mother in Bakersfield, California was understandably furious when she found out her daughter was dancing in such a manner and is taking action to make sure her 7th grader never twerks again.

Check out the story 23ABC Bakersfield put together on the girl’s punishment.  Do you think it’s appropriate?

I think mom was right in this case.  It was inappropriate for Miley to do on television and it’s not right for a girl as young as her to be doing at a school event.  I can’t believe the school didn’t step in but kudos to this mom for teaching her daughter a valuable lesson.
