Garth Brooks – “The Beaches of Cheyenne”

 

 

This song is co-written by Garth Brooks and recorded by Brooks.  It was released in December 1995 as the third single from his album ‘Fresh Horses.’  The song became Brooks' 15th Billboard number one country hit in March 1996.

They packed up all his buckles and shipped his saddle to his dad and by the way the house looked, she must of took it bad.

 


 

Tracy Lawrence – “Time Marches On”

 

 

“Time Marches On” is a song written by Bobby Braddock and recorded by Tracy Lawrence.  It was released in March 1996 from the album of the same name.   The song spent three weeks at number one on the Billboard Country chart in mid 1996.

Sister cries out from her baby bed, brother runs in feathers on his head, momma’s in a room learning how to sew, daddy’s drinking beer listening to the radio.

 


 

George Strait – “Blue Clear Sky”

 

“Blue Clear Sky” is the title of the song written by Bob DiPiero, John Jarrard and Mark Sanders and recorded by George Strait.  It was released in March 1996 from the album of the same name.  This song reached number one on Billboard's Hot Singles Chart.

You swear you had enough, you’re ready to give up, on that little lie they call love, then out of the blue clear sky.

 


 

Trisha Yearwood – “Believe Me Baby (I Lied)”

 

 

This song was written by Kim Richey, Angelo Petraglia and Larry Gottlieb.  Trisha Yearwood recorded the song which was released in May of 1996 from the album “Everybody Knows.”  It was Yearwood's fourth number one hit out of the five number one hits during her career.

Wynonna Judd – “To Be Loved by You”

 

 

“To Be Loved by You” is written by Gary Burr and Mike Reid and recorded by Wynonna Judd.  It was released in 1996 from the album, ‘Revelations.’  The song peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart in April of 1996.

Love that’s worth fighting for that’s what this is and how could I want more.
