Alan Jackson – “Don’t Rock the Jukebox”

 

 

Roger Murrah, Alan Jackson and Keith Stegall wrote “Don’t Rock the Jukebox.”  The song is from the album of the same name that reached number one on Billboards Hot Country Chart.

Don’t rock the jukebox I wanna hear some Jones my heart ain’t ready for the rolling stones.

 


 

Alabama – “Down Home”

 

 

“Down Home” was written by Rick Bowles and Josh Leo.  Country band Alabama recorded the song which peaked at number one on the Country Hot Singles Chart in April of 91’. This song was the fourth single from Alabama’s album ‘Pass it on Down.’  The song tells the story of a man growing up in rural area.

Just off of the beaten path a little dot on the state road map that’s where I was born and where I’ll die.

 


 

Randy Travis – “Forever Together”

 

 

“Forever Together” was co-written by Randy Travis and Alan Jackson while they were on tour together.  It was released in September of 1991 as the second single from his album ‘High Lonesome.’  It peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot Singles Chart.  

I took you for granted so many years I gave you no hope, broken promises and tears.

 


 

Trisha Yearwood – “Like We Never Had A Broken Heart”

 

 

This song is written by Pat Alger and Garth Brooks and recorded by Trisha Yearwood.  It was released in September 1991 as the second single from her debut album "Trisha Yearwood."  The song reached number four on the Billboard Hot Singles Chart.  Garth Brooks received a secondary credit on the song.

Don’t be afraid to hold me tight you know I won’t break in two.

 


 

Lorrie Morgan – “A Picture of Me Without You”

 

 

“A Picture of Me Without You” is a country song written by Norro-Wilson and George Richey.  It was originally recorded by country legend George Jones, whose version peaked at number five on Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart in 1972.  The song was covered by Lorrie Morgan on her 1991 album "Something in Red."  Morgan’s version was released as the album's second single in June 1991 and reached number nine on the Billboard Hot Country Single Chart.
