We are saluting our September Veteran of the Month Terra Koster of Milaca.  She has served our country and continues to serve her community.

Terra was nominated by her friend Joy who had this to say about her:

Terra served in the Navy. She joined when she was in her early twenties. While serving, she was responsible for fixing jets. She is so passionate about our country and her time she spent in the service. She also met her best friend while she was serving.

Now, Terra is a mother of two  and she also owns eight horses, three dogs and several cats. She is a full time student pursuing her bachelors in education. She works with students with special needs.

Terra also designs websites and business cards, is a firearms instructor and a photographer. Needless to say, she has her hands in everything and is incredibly talented. She uses her skills to give to others, to make their life easier. She goes above and beyond to help those around her; and to Terra, its just all in a days work. So many people look up to her for her diligence and kindness.

Terra's children are most important thing in her life. She has raised them to be respectful and independent children. She sacrifices so much to make them happy. Her son says his favorite thing about her is that she wrestles with him. Her daughter thinks the best part about having Terra as a mom is that she helps her feed the horses; "otherwise it would be really hard".

I am nominating Terra because of her amazing drive. She works so hard and never settles for less than perfect. She deserves recognition for all of her hard work. She served our country and continues to serve our community. She is a phenomenal person and more should be like her.

Terra, thank you for your service to our country and for continuing to make your community a better place.  The work you've done is no doubt appreciated and admired!

If there is a special veteran in your life that you'd like us to recognize make sure to nominate them for Veteran of the Month.
