Tech High Class Reunion Saturday, July 31, 2010
There will be a reunion for the St. Cloud Tech High School class of 1970 on Friday and Saturday, July 30 and 31. Friday night’s event will be at the Red Carpet starting at 7pm. Saturday, there will be a car show at 9:30am in the school parking lot. There will also be a tour of Tech at 10am and dinner at the 400 Club on Pleasant Lake will begin at 6:30pm. Holy Cross Golf Tournament Saturday, July 31, 2010
The annual Holy Cross Golf Tournament is coming up on Saturday, July 31 at 1pm at the Kimball Golf Club. The cost is $35 per person and that includes a nine hole best ball tourney and your meal after the game at the lodge.

St. Joseph’s Church Summer Festival in Pierz is on Sunday, August 1 starting with mass at 10am. A chicken and sauerkraut dinner will be held from 11am to 2pm in the church basement. There will also be games, bingo, silent auction, quilt wheel, pop, food, live music, a beer stand, bake sale, book sale, country store and pull tabs. ARC Midstate Buddy Walk and Roll Saturday, August 14, 2010
Bring a buddy and join the fun at the tenth annual Arc Midstate Buddy Walk and Roll on August 14 at the Sauk Rapids Municipal Park. The purpose of the walk is to promote awareness and acceptance of people with developmental disabilities such as Down syndrome, Autism, Asperger’s, Fragile X, FASD, Spina Bifida, and others. All funds raised will still local and help Arc Midstate continue its services to children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. This is a free event. For the past 5 years, heading into year 6, we've been doing a golf tourney to raise money for the 'Educational Foundation' scholarship fund. The Golf Tournament is Friday, August 20th at Oak Hill Golf Club, located 5 miles south of Rice on Hwy 10. $75/person includes everything for the day. A seminar entitled “Rolling Art… Why A Mural?” is to take place at Zylstra Harley-Davidson 19600 Evans St NW (Hwy 169 N) Elk River, MN 55330 on August 20, 2010 at 5:00 pm. One purpose of the hour long session is to enlighten a new generation that is just beginning to look at vehicular artwork, pinstriping, airbrushing and various other aspects of the genre of custom painting and motorcycle décor. The program will also be a forum for the paint connoisseur to learn more, ask questions and get assistance from the guest artist with developing personal ideas for the various custom paint options that are available today. Did you know that there are medical grants available for families struggling with child health-related expenses? The UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation is accepting applications for the 2010 grant program now. The grants are available to help families who need financial assistance to pay for their child’s health care treatments, services or equipment not covered or not fully covered by their commercial health insurance plans.
