A Fun Fall Weekend at Home
The day started off raining and cold, but by noon when we got to the pumpkin patch things were perfect.
I don't get home often to see my nephew and nieces, but when I do, we have fun.
This past weekend (October 5-6) Brittany and I went to my visit my family and we headed to Northwoods Orchard for some outdoor fall fun. The staff at Northwoods Orchard was extremely friendly and looked like they were having as much fun as we were.
We did everything including, picking out pumpkins to carve, went on a wagon ride, ran through a corn maze, climbed on hay bales, petting zoo and caramel apples. It was a great Saturday afternoon.
Later that evening we started carving pumpkins and I found out that Chelsea (the youngest niece at 20-months) does NOT like the guts of a pumpkin. I set a little down on the table near her and she FREAKED OUT... it was kind of funny though.
We finished up our pumpkins, tossed a candle in them and called it a night.
The weekend visit was wrapped up with bowling and an arcade before we headed back to St. Cloud... all in all it was a fantastic weekend and I'm counting the days until we get to see each other again for some more family fun.
