A Place At The Table For Our POW/MIA Veterans

Yesterday was Veterans Day. Every year on this day I take Jay, an Air Force Veteran, out for lunch. This year he chose Texas Roadhouse, and as we were walking to our table, we saw this.

Both of us were very moved by what the staff at the restaurant created. It was an empty booth honoring our POW/MIA Veterans.

A huge thank you to the incredible staff at Texas Roadhouse. They were swamped, people were waiting in a line that was outside the door, crowds made it difficult to get to where they were going, and yet, they were always kind and had a smile for every Veteran and family member who stopped for lunch. I'm sure it was much the same at every other restaurant that offered a free lunch to Veterans yesterday.

Thanks to those who made every Veteran feel as special as they truly are.
