Apollo Hockey Advances To Section Final With Win

Paul Kenney had a first period hat trick and St. Cloud Apollo rolled past Fergus Falls 7-3 in a Section 6A semifinal matchup at the MAC Saturday.

Apollo took a 4-2 lead into the second period and saw Fergus Falls cut the lead to a single goal at 4:26. However, the Eagles responded with three unanswered goals in the third period to pull away for the win, beginning with Dallas Haugen’s goal at 1:08.

Jordan Keller and Jacob Kemp also scored in the third for Apollo.

Apollo will play against Little Falls on Thursday night at the MAC in St. Cloud for the Section 6A championship. Little Falls topped Apollo 4-2 on January 17th.
