The biggest stars in Hollywood and Nashville made the trip to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for the 2011 Academy of Country Music Awards.
Among the many A-listers attending were Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, 'Dancing With the Stars' beauty Julianne Hough and, of course, Entertainer of the Year winner Taylor Swift.
St. Cloud Becomes One Town – On “This Date In Central Minnesota History”
ST. CLOUD -- April 2nd, 1856 – The three settlements, Upper Town, Middle Town, and Lower Town, were granted authority by the Minnesota Territorial Legislature to incorporate into the City of St. Cloud in March 1856, and on April 2nd the first town officers were chosen.

It was on this date in 1903 that Stephen Tenvoorde signed an agreement making his dealership the second Ford dealership in the country. Today it is the oldest Ford dealership in the world.

This Date In Central Minnesota History: March 17th, 1908
It was on this date in 1908 that the Watab Dam for the Sartell Paper Mill was finished. The Watab Pulp and Paper Company was formed by a group of investors from Wisconsin and the company began constructing the paper mill in Sartell in 1905.
