Extreme Couponer Banned For Life From All Walmarts

Being banned for life from discount giant Walmart is a pretty harsh punishment for someone who embraces the growing trend of “extreme couponing.”

But that’s what allegedly happened to self-described extreme couponer April Cuavas, who claims she was banned from every Walmart in the nation after a confrontation with the store manager of Walmart’s Boise, Idaho location over the store’s policy of matching the coupons of other chains.

Diet Soda May Make You Pack on the Pounds

By analyzing the results of a 10-year longitudinal study of 474 people, researchers  were able to determine that the participants who drank two or more diet sodas a day experienced a waist size increase 70 percent greater than those who stayed away from diet soda.

Dr. Martin P. Paulus, a professor of psychiatry at the University of California San Diego, and an author of the study, offered this theory as to why something without calories can lead to weight gain:

According to those who have proposed the ban, the rational behind it is twofold. It would encourage San Franciscans to adopt animals from shelters and rescue organization, and it would put an end to what animal rights activists claim are inhumane conditions in puppy mills and kitten factories.
