Pete Hanson

I'm just a regular Minnesota guy that grew up on the north-side of the Cities (Fridley), spent some quality time at the U of M, chill on the weekends at the family cabin near Duluth, bleed Vikings purple, and miss the North Stars. I have a short attention span; and enjoy Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash, Zac Brown, 80s hair bands, coffee, beer, scotch, and long sunset walks on the beach. (One of those isn't true.) I'm a cancer survivor of eleven years now, and know that life is damn short -- so by all means we should be playing as hard and as often as we can. I think that's it. (Did I mention that I have a short attention span?) Hit me up below on Facebook & Twitter.

Vikings in Cincinnati To Face Bengals Today

Matt Cassel will get the start at quarterback today when the Minnesota Vikings (4-9-1) take the field in Ohio to face the Cincinnati Bengals (9-5). While the Vikes are at the bottom of the NFC North, the Bengals sit on top of the AFC North. Adrian Peterson is listed as 'questionable' of the game, but he expects to play.

Sixteen Hairless Years Coming To An End

I shaved my head for the first time in 1997. At that moment I was pretty sure I would never have hair again, just felt too good. (Of course i did it on a summer day, not thinking about how cold I'd be in the winter.) After a healthy dose of peer-pressure, and a little curiosity I have decided to let it grow back. New pic every Monday. Could be interesting!

Nerf Or Itza [POLL]

I was Christmas shopping around St. Cloud on Saturday (what a madhouse), and was in Target looking at all the toy football options. More to choose from than when I was a kid. Which brought me to the age old question: Nerf or Itza. If you're a kid from the 70's or 80's (especially a guy) you'll have a strong feeling one way or another. Vote here.

The Four NFL Teams I’m Cheering For Today

I'm a hardcore Vikings fan. Born and raised. Because of that, these are the four teams I will be cheering for today: Philadelphia, Houston, Atlanta, Washington. If these four teams win today, the Vikings will be in the #2 draft position (just a half-game out of the top spot) with two weeks left in the season. Go Eagles, Texans, Falcons, Skins!

Vikings Face Eagles Today At The Dome

The Minnesota Vikings (3-9-1) have a chance to maintain or improve their draft status today with a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles (8-5) at the Metrodome. (Yes, I want them to lose.) They are currently 4th in draft order behind Houston, Atlanta, and Washington. A win by either the Falcons or Redskins (with a Vikings loss) would bump them up to second or third with two weeks to go in the season.
