Pete Hanson

I'm just a regular Minnesota guy that grew up on the north-side of the Cities (Fridley), spent some quality time at the U of M, chill on the weekends at the family cabin near Duluth, bleed Vikings purple, and miss the North Stars. I have a short attention span; and enjoy Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash, Zac Brown, 80s hair bands, coffee, beer, scotch, and long sunset walks on the beach. (One of those isn't true.) I'm a cancer survivor of eleven years now, and know that life is damn short -- so by all means we should be playing as hard and as often as we can. I think that's it. (Did I mention that I have a short attention span?) Hit me up below on Facebook & Twitter.

Doing Household Chores Makes Men Less Attractive To Women

According to new data from the Pew Research Center, men who do household chores (traditionally done by women) are seen as less attractive by their significant other. Not that the women don't appreciate the men helping, but at some biological level -- guys folding laundry are seen as weak, and unattractive.

Pink Eye Forces NBC’s Bob Costas From Olympics, Matt Lauer Takes Over

A persistent case of pink eye has forced Bob Costas to step away from NBC's Olympic headquarters desk tonight. Today Show host Matt Lauer will fill in. Costas has been wearing glasses and visibly suffering from watery, swollen eyes during recent broadcasts. It will be the first time since 1998 that NBC's Olympic coverage will be Costas-less.

U.S. Medals Equal Cash For Athletes (And Taxes Due Of Course)

Winning an olympic medal as an U.S Olympic athlete means cash in your pocket. The U.S. Olympic Committee pays athletes $25,000 per gold, $15,000 per silver, and $10,000 per bronze. Of course, part of being an American means giving a healthy chunk of that back to the IRS. As much as $10,000 of the gold medal award could need to be paid back it taxes.
