Chris’ Top 5 Confederate Railroad Songs [LIST, VIDEOS]

My #5 song from Confederate Railroad is one of their more serious tunes. It has to do with the bridges we burn and the inability to rebuild them. The song went to #14 in 1993. Previously, it had been recorded by Sam Neely and by Bill Anderson.

Queen Of Memphis is my fourth-favorite song by the band. Actually, I prefer the longer "dance-mix" that taps out just over 6 minutes. From 1992, Queen is Confederate Railroad's highest chart-peaking single...making it to #2. You'll notice the "coach" in the video is Falcon's coach Jerry Glanville. Since the band hails from Georgia, I'm sure they were actually all buddies.

Another fun video from the 90's. I'm not positive, but I think the girl in this video is the same one in Aaron Tippin's That's As Close As I'll Get To Loving You video. What building a skyscraper had to do with dropping everything to be with this smoking hot 90's Country girl, I have no idea. But it comes in third on my list of favrorite Confederate Railroad songs.

My second favorite Confederate Railroad tune is a great song from Danny and the gang. All about how "daddy" wasn't much for anything excessive, but ended up with a ride in a caddy after all.

By far my all-time favorite Confederate Railroad song! An unusual video, to say the least. When this song came out around 1995, I fell in love with it instantly. In fact, jump in my car and I can call it up for you in a heartbeat on my cruising songs mix! Bill's has one of the best lyrics ever written, pertaining to the bar owner and his dislike of anything new..."We don't like original material unless it's been done before." Can't WAIT to see these guys live.
