ST. CLOUD - Several squad cars have been damaged in a high speed chase this (Friday) morning.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says the chase started near St. Augusta, came through St. Cloud, and ended on Highway 15 and County Road 33. Burke says while no St. Cloud police squads were damaged, and were never directly involved in the pursuit, Stearns County Sheriff's Department cars were damaged.  St. Cloud Police is assisting with a couple accident reports related to the chase.

The chase reached speeds around 100 miles an hour at times.

Squad cars were able to end the chase by using a pit maneuver.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Department is leading the investigation.  We'll have more on this story later today (Friday).
