There's a new app for the people of Winnipeg, Canada. They can make money by turning in illegal parkers.  They are really hoping to nab those who park in disabled spots without a permit. The "SpotSquad" app will send about $8 to whomever takes a picture of any illegally parked car. You can turn in anyone who parks a couple of inches over the line or into the red, or too close to a fire hydrant.
The app would allow people to snap a picture of a parking violation and send the photo to police, private parking operators or city wardens. A parking warden could then be dispatched to issue a ticket.
It makes me crazy when a selfish driver parks in a handicapped spot. I'm not afraid to speak up, but making a couple bucks to watch them get a ticket sounds like an even better idea! What about you? Would you turn them in?
