Calling vs. Texting: Which Do You Prefer?

It's funny how people tend to prefer calling over texting or texting over calling. My sister hates talking on the phone.  There's really no point in calling her because she won't answer.  My mom or dad are the exact opposite.  They would just as soon call rather than text.  It's funny because sometimes they'll call me for something simple and I will wonder why they didn't just text me.

For me, I'm a kind-of-depends-on the situation type girl when it comes to calling or texting. I think some things can be handled just fine via text and other things are better left for a phone call.  I've had plenty of arguments over text messaging and it really just doesn't work. But hey, here's a crazy thought -- what if we put down our phones for two minutes and had a face-to-face conversation?
