Thursday, November 10th will mark the first-ever Camp Ripley Military Appreciation Day where military families can take part in activities including an appearance by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The event kicks off at 11:30am and runs until 3 and will feature Minnesota Timberwolves Dancers, Crunch the mascot and a performance by Good for Gary - a Minneapolis based cover band. The kids will be entertained with bounce houses, climbing wall and an international game of HORSE between soldiers in Kuwait and their kids here at home. Families will also get a chance to chat privately with their soldier in Kuwait via video.

Camp Ripley's Military Appreciation Day is part of Operation Military Heroes Month presented by the FastBreak Foundation from the Minnesota Timberwolves. Each month the Timberwolves' FastBreak Foundation contributes to a Minnesota youth program that helps young people make responsible decisions, contribute to their future and experience lifelong memories.
