Mom always told me, "Go outside and get the stink out of ya!" What a great weekend for it, the Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge invites you to attend their annual Winterfest celebration on Saturday, February 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This free family event offers an exciting day of outdoor activities celebrating winter and focusing on how both wildlife and people manage to thrive in Minnesota’s months of snow and cold temperatures.

Yesterday, after the fresh snow, my daughter and I bundled up and headed for the sledding hill in the Becker City Park. Sledding is dangerous! High speeds, unstable rides and neighbor kids determined to take you off the hill.
You'd hope, at the very least, your momma would be looking out for you but this momma has a momentary lapse of concentration.
Look! These people snowboard just like I do - mostly on my butt. Maybe we just need a little more practice. Get some practice, or show off your skills, at the St. Cloud Park and Recreation sponsored ski and snowboarding trip at Wild Mountain in Taylors Falls.
