Happy Movember. We're a third of the way in. The Movember Foundation aims to change the way we think about men's health by putting a fun twist on this serious issue. Using the mustache as a catalyst, the idea is to bring about change and give us guys the opportunity and confidence to learn and talk about our health and take action when needed.
It's been great walking around our building this week, seeing many of my male co-workers (aka Mo Bros) growing a mustache in the name of changing the face of men's health. Raising awareness and funds committed to combatting prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems during the month of Movember.
Against all odds and predictions (including my own), I have completed my 30-day 'Sugar-Free Challenge' (no sugar, no sweeteners, no simple, starchy carbs, no alcohol) following my viewing of the movie 'Fed Up' a month or so ago.
Cindy and I were sitting in the studio the other day talking about our love of acting & theater, although neither have done any since high school and college (which was more than a few years ago for both). We have both avoided community theater because we've thought evening rehearsals might kill us with our morning show schedules, but...
Each week I give you my 'Thumbs Up' and 'Thumbs Down' -- something good and something bad that's on my mind. Watch to find out what my 'Thumbs Up' & Thumbs own' are, and add your own TU & TD by commenting below.
Our cat, Charlie, is a curious one. He likes to participate in various programs on TV. This past weekend we found out he enjoys racing. My favorite part is the very end where it looks like he's riding in the car
I think most of us can agree that nothing is less helpful in getting to know our candidates than the maddening onslaught of political ads. I've scoured the internet, and have finally found a Voter Guide that I like.
Saturday was Movember first (Movember being the month formerly known as November), and thousands of men around the world 'Shaved The Date,' all in the name of raising awareness and funds for men's health. It'll be mustaches only for the next 30-days, and it was great to kick it off with my dad.
