With the drama of the NFL lock-out behind us, leave it to the Minnesota Vikings to keep the NFL headlines interesting. Donovan McNabb seems to be the possible starting QB of choice right now for the Vikes over their 2011 first round pick Christian Ponder.

Donovan McNabb is a 34 year old seasoned quarterback, formerly of the Philadelphia Eagles from 1999 - 2009 and most recently played the 2010-2011 season for the Washington Redskins.

Haven't we learned our lesson? These older quarterbacks have an expiration date which I thought was made pretty clear by Brett Favre last year. Is Minnesota really going to take on a quarterback that is (once again) teetering on the edge. In my opinion, that's a risk we can't afford to take.

I would much rather put my faith in newbie Christian Ponder who was the quarterback for Florida State before being drafted by the Vikings. Minnesota Viking fans need a quarterback they can put their faith in, and Donovan McNabb has too much baggage and controversy to be that guy.

Yes, I'm a girl and I have strong opinions about my MN sports, so do you agree with me or not? Ponder or McNabb, who is your pick?
