Comet PanSTARRS Can Be Seen This Week
If you look closely at the sky tonight and tomorrow night, you might spot something fairly rare: a comet that is close enough to be visible to the naked eye. According to National Geographic News, this comet has brightened a million times over since it was discovered in June 2011. It will make a brief appearance in the Northern Hemisphere this week.
Grab the kids and head outside! Look to the upper left of the moon about a half hour after sunset tonight. (Tuesday) Tomorrow night, (Wednesday) it will appear to the lower right of the moon. You're looking for a hazy smudge of light, possibly with a tail.
