Country Classic Flashback Features Willie Nelson

Each Wednesday at 8 a.m. I join Cindy and Doug for Country Classic Flashback.  We take a trip down memory lane to highlight a country legend.  This week we are featuring Willie Nelson.

Since the mid 1970's, Willie Nelson has emerged as one of the most versatile and influential talents in country music.  Through the years he worked with various local Texas bands, worked as a DJ, recording artist and as an actor.  Willie has had his problems in life like everyone else.  In 1990 Nelson's assets were seized by the I.R.S. which claimed that he owed $32,000,000.  His accountants did not pay Willie's taxes for years and by 1993 his profits cleared his debt thanks to the album he put together titled The IRS Tapes: Who'll Buy My Memories?
