Each Wednesday at 8 a.m. I join Cindy and Doug for Country Classic Flashback.  We take a trip down memory lane to highlight a country legend.  This week we are featuring Bobby Bare.

Bobby Bare was born near Ironton, Ohio on April 7, 1935.   Bobby took a very eclectic   approach to music that identified him as a storyteller and humorist and was described as very folksy and country outlaw like.

"Detroit City" was his first top ten country hit also a top twenty pop hit and earned him a Grammy for Best Country Recording.  Then came "500 Miles Away From Home," "Miller's Cave" and "Four Strong Winds."

Tune in every Wednesday at 8 a.m. for the Country Classic Flashback brought to you by Midwest Machinery East Highway 23 in Sauk Rapids with eight other locations around Central MN.
