Country Classic Spotlight Features Earl Thomas Conley

Earl Thomas Conley, a master at merging a hard country sound with rock and roll energy.  Conley credits one of his school teachers as a motivational influence who encouraged students to follow their dreams. His dream was to be a country singer and song writer; and he made it.

After a tour of duty in the Army, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1973.  Two years later he hit the charts as an artist on GRT Records.  In 1976 Conway Twitty took Conley’s Composition “This Time I’ve Hurt More Than She Loves Me” to Number One.

He recorded top ten duets with Emmy Lou Harris and Keith Whitley.  Conley is also an accomplished artist and designer.  Conley had a string of number one hits, a total of 17 including, “Your Love’s on the Line,” “Holding Her and Loving You,” “Nobody Falls like a Fool” and many more.
