Roy Clark grew up in Staten Island, New York.  As a teenager, he lived in Washington D.C.  And it was around that time he began playing banjo, guitar and mandolin making him a true multi-instrumentalist.

A country music musician and entertainer with a great personality and a wonderful telegenic presence, Clark frequently guest-hosted for Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show in the 1970s.

Clark is perhaps best-known for the long-running national country variety show "Hee Haw." This show ran from 1969-1992.

The now 78-year-old Roy Clark has been playijng for audiences since the 1950's.

Join me Sunday morning October 2nd at 11:00 a.m. for the life and music of Roy Clark.
