Wynonna Judd's belting vocal power and mom, Naomi.  This mother daughter duo rose to become the top country vocal duet in just a few months from 1983-1984.  Their success helped give new  acoustic and folk tinged direction to country music.

The Judd's won five Grammy Awards for best Country Performance by a duo or group with vocal and eight country music association awards.

The Judd's dissolved their group at the end of 1991, after Naomi was diagnosed with Hepatitis C.  That's when Wynonna began her solo career. They have occasionally reunited for special tours.

On Sunday February 12th join me as I play the hits of the Judd's.  "Why Not Me,"  "Mama He's Crazy," "Have Mercy" and "Grandpa Tell Me Bout the Good Old Days" plus many more great songs at 11:00 AM on 98.1 FM 98 Country.
