Hank Williams Sr. is my featured artist on this Sunday's 98 Country Classic Spotlight.

Hank Williams Sr. was born September 17, 1923 in Alabama.  In August of 1952, he was fired from the Grand Ole Opry and was told never to return until he was sober.

Williams lead a life plagued with alcohol, morphine and other pain killers.  However he was regarded as one of the greatest country music stars that ever lived.

Williams died on January 1st, 1953  en route to a concert in Canton, Ohio.

We'll celebrate the life and music of Hank Williams Sr. at 11 Sunday morning, on the 98 Country Classics Show.
