Country Music Icon George Jones’ Funeral Date Has Been Set [VIDEO]

The date for country music icon, George Jones' funeral has been set for Thursday, May 2nd at The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tenn. Jones' family will hold a private visitation the day before, Wednesday, May 1st followed by an open to the public service on May 2nd. Jones' wife, Nancy had this to say in a press release, “Thanks to George’s friends, fans, and loved ones for the outpouring of love at this terrible time... I love you all.”

Jones died this past Friday, April 26 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. where he’d been in the hospital since April 18 for a fever and irregular blood pressure.
