I think a lot of us are just waiting for the calendar to turn to April, as I'm done with March. Something that you can look forward to with that calendar page flip is a relatively new downtown St. Cloud restaurant that will start offering up daily specials. Boil Seafood Restaurant announced daily specials yesterday on social media.

Boil Seafood Restaurant just opened up a few months ago, and from everything I've heard from people who have eaten there have been positive, so that right there seems to be a good sign. Well in an effort to add some business during the week, some daily specials will be offered.

To start the specials will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and will only be honored during certain times.

Starting April 2nd WEEKDAY SPECIALS LIMITED TIME ONLY AYCE crab leg Wednesday from 4pm-8pm

Starting next week you can get $1.50 oysters all day on Tuesdays and on Wednesdays you can get the all-you-can-eat crab legs from 4-8pm for just $55.

Boil Seafood Restaurant isn't the only place in town serving up seafood, Red Lobster in St. Cloud has the all-you-can-eat shrimp deal for $25. However, it seems the brand Red Lobster might be looking at some changes shortly, at least according to this.

The food industry, especially seafood has taken a hit since the pandemic. In January of 2024 Supermarket Perimeter conducted a 2024 seafood forecast and they found that:

Fresh seafood sales declined 5.7% and volume dropped 7% for the month ending Nov. 26, compared to the same month in 2022, per research firm Circana. However, the category still generated $417 million in sales in November and $6.3 billion for the year ending Nov. 26.
