Dolly Parton is sitting down and opening up!

On April 14, AXS TV will air an exclusive interview between the country icon and famed news anchor, Dan Rather, as she candidly discusses her career and life.

The hour-long interview was filmed at Parton's world-famous theme park Dollywood, and (as you can see from the preview clip above) is full of Parton's trademark honesty and humor. The interview covers all the pivotal moments of the 'Jolene' singer's illustrious career -- from her diverse music and acting resumé, to how she runs a multi-million dollar business, to her devotion to her philanthropic foundation, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

Rather also spends time diving into Parton's personal life. After over 50 years in the media spotlight and a career that has influenced thousands of musicians and actors, there's definitely plenty for the two to discuss!

The candid and in-depth interview airs on April 14 on AXS TV's 'The Big Interview.' You can also catch it again on May 12 when AXS re-airs it to coincide with the release of Parton's newest studio album, 'Blue Smoke.'

Never one to slow down, Parton just finished the first leg of her Blue Smoke World Tour in Australia and New Zealand. The 68-year-old Country Music Hall of Famer will kick off the second leg on May 19th in Duluth, Ga. with stops throughout the U.S. and Europe. 'Blue Smoke' is Parton's 42nd studio album (yep, you read that right...42nd!) and will be released in the U.S. on May 20.
