Well, it's the first official day of our "Dog Pounds" promotion to raise money for the Tri-County Humane Society.

Not only is this a great cause, but I really need to get into better shape.  I have always had a big interest in fitness, at one point I had thought about a career in Corporate Fitness before getting into radio.

But as time goes on, we can all fall into bad habits or into a rut with their workouts.  My wife and I are very active, but let's face it, winters are a little tough when you enjoy being outdoors a lot.  I had reached a point where the workouts were stale and it was just going through the motions.

The diet part too is equally as important.  It's easy to just grab something on the go or eat out in this country.  And again in the Midwest, it's harder to find fresh fruit and veggies year round.  I'm not using that as an excuse though because it CAN be done, it just takes a little more looking work.

So my goals are pretty simple, lose as much weight as possible because it is for charity.  To reach my optimum weight I would have to lose 25 pounds, but I think those weight charts are a little unrealistic so 15 would be a more realistic attempt.

I've been using the Maximized Living Diet and exercise plan from Legacy Family Chiropractic and Dr. Evan Eigen.  I needed some structure and a new philosophy from what I was doing.  It includes chiropractic care, common sense diet and the T3 exercise plan that is pretty intense.  I actually started a month ago and lost about 6 pounds!

So, I'm looking forward to this opportunity and raising money for the animals, so please considering giving something because everything helps.  Here's the page to donate and see our progress.
