There’s somebody out there impersonating Luke Bryan, actually there are several somebody’s out there impersonating Luke, and someone close to him.

Luke took to his official Facebook page today to give fans a heads up that there is someone claiming to be him across a couple of platforms. Luke tells his fans:

“hey y’all, PLEASE SHARE THIS! i just want to let everybody in on something. there have been a lot of issues with fake facebook profiles of me. this is the only profile i use for correspondence. i don’t have a personal page. if you are friends with another Luke Bryan, unfriend them and don’t believe any of the messages. also, people are impersonating my wife of all people. she DOES NOT use facebook. unfriend anyone pretending to be her. i’m sorry for such a long post, but i want all of you, my fans, to be aware of what’s going on.”

To impersonate Luke is one thing, I mean come on, famous people have been impersonated for years – even before the internet. When you start impersonating the guy’s wife, that’s taking it across the line.

If you are a fan of one of the imposter Luke Bryan’s or his wife, leave them a nasty message on their wall and then unfriend them!

If you are looking for something fun to do with your kids on Friday, consider taking them to the Kiddie Barn Yard in Little Falls.

FFA students from Little Falls will have a calf, miniature horse, chickens and many other animals available for kids to check out and get up close and personal with them.

You can find them at the Tractor Supply in Little Falls on Friday, May 18, from 1-3pm. This is a free event and a way for the FFA kids to share their joy of raising animals with your kids.

Apparently, a woman to our north in Superior decided she wanted a one-signer household and got busy! Not only did she strew all of her ex-husband’s stuff on the front lawn with a large “free” sign, she also burned some of his possessions…and spray-painted some rather vulgar words on his SUV! Needless to say, police were called from, I would imagine, some upset neighbors over the spectacle. While the truck was removed from the scene later in the day, all of the man’s belongings lay where his ex-wife unceremoniously dumped them.

Disco legend Donna Summer has died after a battle with cancer, TMZ is reporting. She was 63 years old.

Insiders say she wanted to keep the disease quiet, and a friend said that as recently as two weeks ago, Summer seemed okay and was even finishing up work on a new album.

The five-time Grammy winner shot to fame in the 1970s with songs like ‘Love to Love You Baby,’ ‘Hot Stuff’ and ‘Bad Girls,’ and continued her reign on radio airwaves into the ’80s with hits including ‘She Works Hard for the Money’ and ‘This Time I Know It’s for Real.’

Summer was also the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach No. 1 on the US Billboard chart.

The Saint Paul Saints just have too much fun. Yesterday they announced their new mascots to kick off the 2012 baseball season and they are a match made in pig heaven. The Saints have the whole romantic story on their website,

Their eyes met across the sty.  The courtship began.  Now these two love birds are ready to take their relationship to the next level as they spend an entire season at Midway Stadium.  The St. Paul Saints are proud to announce the engagement of Kim LARDashian and Kris HAMphries.

The Saints revealed the names at the World’s Largest Game of Catch Wednesday in downtown St. Paul. The name was selected out of over 1,000 entries in the Name the Pig Contest conducted by the Saints and the St. Paul Pioneer Press at twincities.com.  The winning entry was submitted by Heather Egli of St. Anthony Village.  She receives a prize pack from the Saints, along with being honored at a Saints game during the season-opening homestand May 17-20.

When not at Midway Stadium this season Lardashian and Hamphries will spend the summer at Hamphries’ Minnesota home.  The courtship has lasted a few months even after Lardashian was linked to several male celebrities like Kanye Wurst and Hambriel Aubry.  Lardashian started showing up at several of Hamphries pig chase events and the two began sharing slop on quiet evenings alone.  During this past winter the couple began going out in public and were photographed by the piggyrazzi.  They had their lives chronicled on the hit reality show “Keeping Up With the Lardashians” and Hamphries finally proposed.

A wedding date will be set at a separate time, but in a joint statement Lardashian and Hamphries said their love is pure and they plan on being together for not only the 2012 Saints season, but for many seasons to come.  The Saints season lasts 110 days and many believe they will be the longest lasting pigs in Saints history.

“These two pigs are simply meant to be together” said Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Derek Sharrer.  “We knew from the moment we saw them that they, as a couple, would become our four-legged mascots.  The reality is they’re inseparable. ”

It is the first time in the Saints 20 season history that they will have two different pigs.  The role of the pigs is to deliver baseballs to the umpires, entertain the crowd and take photos with their adoring fans.

Tickets for Saints home games are $5 for general admission, $8 for outfield reserved and $12 for infield reserved.  Tickets purchased on the Day of the Game are an additional $1 per ticket. Children under the age of 14 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price.  Children under 2 that don’t require a seat are free.

The regular season begins today and tickets for all Saints exhibition and regular season home games are available now in person at the Saints Box Office, by phone at 651-644-6659 or online at saintsbaseball.com.

Zach, an undergrad from Reed College, was recently a contestant on Wheel of Fortune. He did well through all the rounds and ended up in the “Bonus Round”. It was there that he failed miserably. Vanna turned around all the letters and to you and me, it is obvious what it is supposed to be. This guy went through the alphabet of every possible answer EXCEPT the right one!

When you’re buying sunscreen, do you look for words like ‘waterproof,’ ‘sweatproof’ and ‘sunblock?’ If so, don’t bother — they may not be as bulletproof as they seem.

Last year, the FDA mandated that sunscreen manufacturers had to stop using the above descriptions because no product is truly waterproof or sweatproof, and even the best sunscreens don’t completely block harmful rays. And although the ban was supposed to be in place this summer, makers now have until this winter to comply.

Products claiming to be ‘waterproof’ or ‘sweatproof’ will have to prove it with standard testing and state exactly how long a product will stay on the skin after being exposed to water or perspiration.

In addition, terms like ‘sunblock’ will be replaced with ‘broad spectrum’ as long as a product has an SPF rating of at least 15 and protects the user from both UVA rays (associated with skin cancer) and UVB rays (which can cause sunburn).

That said, sunscreens on the shelves are still effective and the FDA encourages their use, saying, “The ingredients in FDA-approved sunscreens marketed today have been used for many years, and FDA has no reason to believe these products are not safe.”

In March, Lady Antebellum announced the tornado-ravaged Henryville High School in Henryville, Ind. as the lucky winners in the band’s Own the Night Prom Contest. Holding true to their word, the superstar trio heads to the Midwest today (May 16) to play a private concert for the students who are still trying to piece together a somewhat normal high school experience.

“Helping rebuild this community is our biggest priority right now,” says Lady A leading lady Hillary Scott. “We were so moved by the stories from Henryville High School, but also from the students at their rival schools who raised their hands and said they wanted to help. There has been so much national media attention and so many sponsors and volunteers are stepping forward to help. It’s going to be an amazing day!”

Outreach for the disaster relief has reached a fever pitch, with major media outlets covering the event, and ultimately getting #RebuildingHenryville trending on Twitter. The trio took to their official account too in hopes of garnering support for their goodwill effort.

“@Ladyantebellum is #RebuildingHenryville today! Help out here http://bit.ly/ladyaprom and RT to show your support!” the ‘Wanted You More’ singers tweeted.

“The whole community, especially the students, is excited about Lady Antebellum coming and performing for Henryville,” says the superintendent of the West Clark Community Schools, Monty Schneider. “They missed so much with the school being destroyed that things like this help them feel whole again. They will be talking about the tornadoes for the rest of their lives, but this event will give them something positive to reflect on about that time. It’s going to be a special moment for the entire community.”

The trio will perform a private 45-minute set for the juniors and seniors at the KFC YUM! Center as part of the school’s prom night, which will be followed by a full-fledged post-party concert that will be open to the general public in order to help raise funds to rebuild the town. Lipton Tea’s team has also come on board to help with the event in the spirit of their Drink Positive and Live Positive message, a campaign that Lady A already supports.

The band is on track to reach their donation goal of $250,000. All proceeds raised from the concert portion of Rebuilding Henryville will remain local through the New Hope/Indiana Bankers Association for the benefit of the disaster relief fund. Fans who are unable to attend Rebuilding Henryville can still get involved by making donations in any amount here.

When you go to the garden shop at your local Wal-Mart, you wouldn’t expect to run into a rattlesnake. Unfortunately, one Washington man did and might sue the retail giant.

Mica Craig went into the garden center in Clarkston, Washington looking for a bag of mulch. He moved what he thought was a stick. That turned out to be a rattlesnake that turned and bit his hand.

Fortunately, another shopper rushed him to the hospital where he got six rounds of anti-venom that saved his life. Unfortunately, his hand may be disfigured for the rest of his life.

Reports say he is “weighing his legal options”. Now that’s the one statement I personally have a problem with. You got bit by a snake that you picked up. Now you are thinking about suing Wal-Mart? Why? Because they had a snake in their outdoor garden center? Seriously?

I understand that businesses have to take precautions to protect their customers. They have to make sure they are rodent free, bug free, spill free and trip hazard free. Who would have thought a rattlesnake would come into a garden center? That’s the last place I would have expected to see one!

So really, this guy is going to file a lawsuit against Wal-Mart. Here’s a scenario – this same guy is in his own garage and mistakes the same rattlesnake as a stick and picks it up. The snake bites him. Who does he sue? Himself? The city? Maybe the snake?

These types of lawsuits really get under my skin. They take up time in the courtroom that should be dedicated to the real offenses against mankind. Wal-Mart didn’t plant the snake in their garden center. They didn’t put mice out there to lure it in. I’m sure if they knew it was there, they would have called someone to come get it out immediately – which they did once this guy was bit.

Maybe I’m in the minority. So you tell me – Should Wal-Mart be held liable for his bills or is this case a waste of the court’s time?

Ellen DeGeneres and I have a very close relationship. She shows up at my house everyday at 4PM sharp and hangs out for an hour, and she always brings other cool celebrities with her. She dances and makes me laugh, it’s a great time. No, I’m not crazy, I realize she is not actually in my house, that she is only on TV, but she is so much fun and so personable I wish she really was on my couch.

So it looks like I’m not even close to the only one who enjoys inviting Ellen into their homes every weekday to make them laugh, because she has just been awarded arguably the highest honor a comedian can receive.

The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced that Ellen will be the recipient of the 15th annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. She will be honored with a tribute show October 22nd at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall in Washington D.C. Fans will be able to see the tribute when it is broadcast on a later date. Past winners of the award include Tina Fey, Will Ferrell, and Bill Cosby.

And just in case that wasn’t enough good fortune for Ellen she is also about to rake in a large chunk of change from the sale of her Beverly Hills home. The estate sits on an entire city block and  includes a 9,2oo square foot main house, 3 guest houses, and a a few pools. The listing price was $49 million and it reportedly sold for close to the full asking price. The mega star who took the home off her hands won’t bat an eyelash at that price, Ryan Seacrest will reportedly close on the home purchase yet this week.

Ellen and her wife, actress Portia De Rossi, purchased the home back in 2007 for $29 million. See I told you she was going to make some money off the deal, but really when you’re Ellen DeGeneres, what’s another $20 million in your pocket.

The Twins are expected to activate first baseman Justin Morneau from the 15-day disabled list today in time for him to play tonight at Detroit.  Morneau has been on the disabled list for the past 15 days with a sore left wrist.  He’s been taking batting practice the last couple of days and is reporting no problems.  Morneau in 20 games was batting .230 with 4 homeruns and 9 RBIs this season.

Morneau is expected to play first base primarily instead of DH.  Morneau played just 4 games at first base so far this season.  To make room for Morneau on the activate roster Chris Parmelee was optioned to triple-A Rochester.  Parmelee was hitting just .179 with no homeruns and 3 RBIs for the Twins this season.

Carrie Underwood and husband Mike Fisher are rarely seen together due to their busy schedules. But from time to time Mike will pop up at an awards show or in Nashville with Carrie, but don’t expect to see them displaying affection in public.

Carrie tells us that Mike is so conservative that he doesn’t like to kiss her in public. He would rather reserve that for their private time.

Personally I have to respect him for that. I think there’s a line that a lot of people cross when they are in public and the behavior they are expressing belongs in private. There’s just something that turns my stomach when I’m out to eat and I see a couple that can’t keep their hands off each other or their tongues out of each others mouths. I mean, come on, how are you supposed to eat if you don’t come up for air? And the worst part is, most of the time it is the most disgusting couple that you could imagine.

Now back to Mike and Carrie. This is an attractive couple and a little light kissing wouldn’t offend too many. But Mike has his standards and I respect him for it. But what about Carrie wearing short skirts? How does her conservative husband feel about those? Carrie says that Mike knows she would never do anything that she would need to be embarrassed to tell her kids.

Even with Mike feeling the way he does, Carrie has managed to get him into a little PDA once in a while. Here’s a photo that caught them at the CMA Awards showing a little affection. All I can say is that if Carrie were my wife, there would be plenty of PDA pics floating around out there.

The St. John’s baseball team plays in the NCAA Division III tournament for the first time since 1998 Wednesday in Oregon at Linfield College at 2pm (Central Time) against the regions top seed Concordia of Texas.  The Johnnies are coached by Jerry Haugen who’s in his 35th year as head coach.  Haugen has led the Johnnies to NCAA tournament appearances in 1994 and 1998 and sent the Johnnies to the MIAC tournament in 2003, 2007, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

St. John’s is led in hitting by Connor Cline who’s hitting .336, Dylan Graves is hitting .325 with 6 homeruns and 15 RBIs and Max Forster is batting .324 with 4 homeruns and 24 RBIs.  Luke Larson leads the Johnnies with 31 RBIs this season.  Hayden Zimmerman, Ryan Spengler and Connor Cline have been the top pitchers for the Johnnies.  Zimmerman has thrown 71 innnings with a 2.03 ERA and a 7-2 record to lead the team.
