The Benton County Shooting Sports Instructors and the Sauk Rapids VFW Post #6992 are sponsoring their Annual “FIREARMS SAFETY/ HUNTER EDUCATION SAFETY CLASS” starting January 13 at VFW Post #6992 in Sauk Rapids.

This is a 9 week course, Thursday evenings from 6:55 to 9:00. At least one parent or guardian must attend the first class, for registration and rules and regulations information. Parents or Guardians are welcome to attend all classes. Students must be at least 11 years old by January 13, 2011 to register.

Upon satisfactory completion, students will receive the “Firearms Safety Certificate”. This certificate is a requirement to hunt big game, whitetail deer and black bear in Minnesota as well as most other states in our country.
