Seattle rookie second baseman Nick Franklin slugged a pair of home runs in the Mariners' 6-4 win over the Twins Sunday at Safeco Field. The teams split a four game series.

Chris Colabello's two run home run in the top of the second inning gave Minnesota a 2-0 lead. The Mariners got a run back in the bottom of the third inning, and took the lead in the bottom of the fourth.

Seattle got four runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 5-2 lead. Franklin's first home run of the game, a three-run shot to right field off of Kyle Gibson, punctuated the scoring.

Aaron Hicks and Clete Thomas had RBI for the Twins in the top of the sixth inning to cut the Mariners lead to 5-4, but Franklin struck again in the bottom of the seventh to give the M's a 6-4 advantage.

The Twins are now 45-57 on the season and have Monday off before beginning a three game series with the Kansas City Royals at Target Field.
