Gift Ideas for the Music Lover in Your Life

I'm pretty sure everyone has someone in their life that is hard to buy for. No matter what the occasion you can never find the right thing without putting a ton of effort into it, right? I totally have one of those people in my family, so I feel your pain. So when I came across this I figured I would share, if your 'hard to buy for' person is a music lover, I just may have found your saving grace.

There are two different organizations holding auctions for music memorabilia right now. I know it sounds like it could be pretty expensive (yes, some of it is) but I think you would be surprised to find there are a number of items at really affordable prices. Also, the proceeds from both auctions go to support separate charities so you would be doing a good deed and getting a gift at the same time!

The first is the GRAMMY Charities Online Auctions through eBay . Here you can find memorabilia from musicians of all genres, such as, autographed guitars, signed and framed magazine copies, a 50th Grammy Awards celebrity signed program, autographed CD's and apparel...just to name a few. Or if you really want to splurge, and I mean really you could bid on the 54th Grammy Awards tickets and rehearsals VIP experience with sold-out hotel  accommodations - bidding currently at $13,500. Hey, the proceeds do go to the Grammy charities, which is a really great cause...it's worth thinking (or in my case dreaming) about!

The other auction is the Country Music Blooms Online Auction, also through eBay. Here you will find tons of memorabilia from country music artists being auctioned off to benefit the Nashville Music Garden Fund of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. You can bid on items now through December 5th. So if you or someone on your Christmas list would love a pair of Miranda Lambert's cowboy boots, Kenny Chesney's cowboy hat, the dress Sara Evan's wore on the red carpet at the 2008 CMT awards, signed t-shirts and albums from country stars, or even concert tickets check it out! These are just a small preview of cool items on this auction with a large price range, so don't think you won't find something you can afford, take a look for yourself and you might me surprised.
