Glen Campbell Has To End His Touring Career-For Good

Glen Campbell's Alzheimer's disease has gotten worse, to the point where the "Rhinestone Cowboy" singer can not continue touring. Instead the country music icon will spend his 77th birthday on Monday in Washington as an advocate for Alzheimer's research. Alzheimer's has claimed many of Campbell's memories from his days on the road, being an actor and a ground breaking session musician. Campbell's last studio album of all new material, 2011's "Ghost on the Canvas" will not be his final album. Campbell has a new album coming out July 30 titles, "See You There," the album will not be new material but rather a reimagining of some of his most popular songs. Though Campbell his battling this memory loss disease, his wife, Kim Campbell said, "Glen still wants to record, but it's just a matter of if he's able to... "It just gets more and more difficult for him all the time." The good news in all of this is that Campbell is still healthy enough at this point to continue playing golf and having family and friends over from time to time.
