The Minnesota Gophers (8-4) have learned their bowl fate, with an invite to the Buffalo Wild Wing's Citrus Bowl on New Year's Day against SEC runner-up Missouri (10-3) in Orlando. It will be Minnesota's first New Year's Day bowl appearance since 1962.

The Citrus Bowl was called the Capital One Bowl from 2003 to 2014. It actually dates to 1947, when it was known as the Tangerine Bowl before changing its name to the Florida Citrus Bowl.
