The Minnesota Gophers (2-1) ended their pre-conference schedule with a 24-7 win over visiting San Jose State (1-2) in a storm delayed game yesterday afternoon in Minneapolis. St. Cloud State (1-2) was shutout on the road by the University of Sioux Falls (3-0) 36-0, and St. John's (2-1) lost at home to Concordia (3-0) in their MIAC opener 23-14.

Next Saturday the Gophers open the Big Ten conference schedule on the road at Michigan (2-2). The Huskies are at home next Saturday night, hosting Upper Iowa University (3-0), and the Johnnies travel to St. Paul next Saturday afternoon to take on St. Thomas (2-0).
