Sunglasses are one of my favorite accessories and they can be a really fun accessory to play with, but do you know what kind of sunglasses look best on your face?

Annie said that the sun will come out tomorrow and I certainly hope she's right because I just bought some new shades and I want to try them out. Before you shell out your hard earned cash on some new sunglasses, make sure those frames look best on your face.

Round Faces

Round faces are youthful and healthy looking. Think Kelly Clarkson, Charlize Theron and Mila Kunis. Round faces are wider at the cheeks than the rest of the face and you also have a rounded chin. From forehead to chin, round faces are very short so try and find sunglasses that are angular. Angular frames add definition to your face and make it look longer and slimmer. Try Wayfarer style sunglasses. I bought a pair in New York and I love them so much, they're my go to sunglasses and I also grabbed a pair in neon green.

Square Faces

If your face is square your face has a parallel width at the jaw, cheeks and forehead. Think Sandra Bullock, Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow. Look for round or oval shaped sunglasses. Round sunglasses will highlight your best features and make everything else appear less angular. Sunglasses that are flat along the top are fine, just as long as the bottoms are curved.

Heart Shaped Faces

If you have a heart shaped face, your forehead is a bit bigger, you have nice, full cheeks and a narrower, more delicate chin. Think Beyonce, Scarlett Johansson, and Reese Witherspoon. Look for frames that have thinner or wire frames with soft rounded lenses that are more bottom heavy to balance out your top heavy features. Aviators are always great and these are my absolutely most favorite aviator sunglasses I've ever owned.

Oval Faces

If you have an oval face, you're the luckiest of the bunch. Your face is a bit more broad in the cheek area, but everything else is proportionate. Think Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie and Zoe Saldana. Oval faces have a narrow forehead and jaw line, a chin that is slightly narrower than the forehead, and typically high cheekbones. Oval faces can usually wear any style of sunglasses. Some of my favorite styles are aviators and cat eye.
