Only hours before Jake Owen took the stage at a huge free show in downtown Nashville, he had part of a finger removed. (See Owen’s right hand in picture above)

Last month Jake Owen was involved in a go-kart accident. Owen had surgery the very next day where he was told his hand may never be the same again… now, about a month and a half after the accident, Owen had to have part of right ring finger removed.

Hours before Owen and other country stars were set to hit the stage at huge free show in downtown Nashville, doctors recommended the piece of finger be removed. Owen followed doctors orders and had the surgery.

Owen said, “They just went ahead and amputated the last half of it off” … “Kinda trying to pretend it doesn’t hurt right now, but it’s a little sensitive. Sensitive’s a good word.”

That didn’t stop him from taking the stage latter that night though. Only a few hours after the surgery and in significant pain, Jake Owen hit the stage at the BMI building for the free show, which also featured Dierks Bentley, Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line and others.
