Jake Owen Set to Release a Summer EP [VIDEO]

Jake Owen is definitely a fan of summer. Most of his activities involve summer weather - outdoor concerts, going out on the boat, water skiing, just to name a few. Now the king of summer is releasing a 4-5 song EP of summer songs.

Jake Owen was set to be a pro golfer in high school. He was definitely on the fast track and even had a college scholarship from being so good at golf - then the unthinkable happened. Jake was injured in a skiing accident that injured his shoulder and messed up his golf swing. While recovering from that, he picked up a guitar and taught himself how to play. That's a decision that we are all thankful for today.

It's nothing for Jake to take to Twitter and ask his fans to join him at the lake to go out on his boat, or invite his fans out for a drink at their local bar. That's what makes Jake Owen so approachable and fun.

Last weekend was CMA Music Festival in Nashville. Jake was able to spend some time with his fans and give them a sneak peek at his next project that is JUST summer songs. Personally, I like Summer Jam and wish it was here in my hands right now so we could put it on the air, but we will have patience and at least get to hear what it is going to sound like when it hits iTunes.
