Joe Diffie’s ‘Girl Ridin’ Shotgun’ is a Response to Jason Aldean’s ’1994′ [VIDEO]

YouTube

I never thought the day would come when I would see Joe Diffie rap, but I was completely wrong.

Joe has been working on a new album and released a new song called Girl Ridin’ Shotgun.  He co-wrote the song and it features Derek Thrasher of The Jawga Boyz.  I take the song to be a response to Jason Aldean’s 1994 since Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Toby Keith, Lee Brice, Brad Paisley and Tim McGraw all ask the real Joe Diffie to please stand up.

I really like this song and it’s a new sound for Joe, which is really cool.  The video is fun and if you look closely at the women in the orange convertible, you’ll see it’s Joe’s wife and daughters with him.
