The St. John’s baseball team plays in the NCAA Division III tournament for the first time since 1998 Wednesday in Oregon at Linfield College at 2pm (Central Time) against the regions top seed Concordia of Texas.  The Johnnies are coached by Jerry Haugen who’s in his 35th year as head coach.  Haugen has led the Johnnies to NCAA tournament appearances in 1994 and 1998 and sent the Johnnies to the MIAC tournament in 2003, 2007, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

St. John’s is led in hitting by Connor Cline who’s hitting .336, Dylan Graves is hitting .325 with 6 homeruns and 15 RBIs and Max Forster is batting .324 with 4 homeruns and 24 RBIs.  Luke Larson leads the Johnnies with 31 RBIs this season.  Hayden Zimmerman, Ryan Spengler and Connor Cline have been the top pitchers for the Johnnies.  Zimmerman has thrown 71 innnings with a 2.03 ERA and a 7-2 record to lead the team.
