Are you ready for some football? In a battle of 2013 underachievers, our 1-4 Minnesota Vikings are in New York tonight to face the 0-6 Giants. Former Tampa Bay quarterback Josh Freeman makes his debut under center for the Vikes in favor of Christian Ponder and Matt Cassel.

The Vikings offensive performance (especially at quarterback) has been under intense scrutiny this season, but the defense may be an even bigger issue. The Vikings’ defense is giving up 31.6 points and 308 yards through the air per game, and the secondary is falling apart with injuries. It seems that, unless Jared Allen is all over him all night, Giants QB Eli Manning should be able to find his receivers with relative ease.

If Adrian Peterson is able to rush for 100 yards, it will be the 40th time he has reached that mark. He leads all active running backs with thirty-nine 100+ yard games. With 103 yards in tonight's game he becomes the all-time leading Vikings rusher on Monday Night Football, leap-frogging past Robert Smith and Chuck Foreman at the same time.

Kickoff is at 7:40 pm (CT), and can be seen on ESPN and WCCO 4.
