What dominated Keith Urban's iPod in 2012? Well, there was quite a bit of country music -- and even some pop -- on his personal playlist.

Urban posted his favorite tracks of the year on his website, giving fans a musical recap right before the calendar turned on 2013. It's undeniably heavy on tunes by his country music peers, featuring hits from Taylor Swift, Little Big Town and Miranda Lambert, but Urban's list shows that he likes music of all genres.

"What a phenominal [sic] year this has been. As we come to the end of 2012 and the new year is yet to explode open..AND IT WILL!!..I thought I'd attempt to single out some songs that I really loved this year for all kinds of reasons!" the 'You Gonna Fly' singer writes.

He acknowledged that it's "impossible to narrow it down to 12 without leaving out equally great songs for 2012" adding that his list is in no specific order -- just that each of the songs inspired him in some way in 2012.

Keith Urban's Favorite Songs of 2012:

'Springsteen'(Eric Church)
'Somebody That I Used To Know' (Goyte)
'Dirt Road Anthem' (Jason Aldean)
'Pontoon' (Little Big Town)
'Wide Awake' (Katy Perry)
'I Love It' (Icona Pop)
'Fastest Girl' (Miranda Lambert)
'Cruise (Florida Georgia Line)
'I Knew You Were Trouble' (Taylor Swift)
'Titanium' (David Guetta feat Sia)
'Doom and Gloom' (Rolling Stones)

Urban closed out his note with a warm wish for fans, writing:

Wishing everybody a magical and safe New Years Eve.....and heres to "THE YEAR TO BEAT ALL YEARS.... 2013"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Peace, love and forgiveness to each and everyone of you. -Keith.

Always one to keep in touch with fans, Urban even shared an image of himself on New Year's Eve in Australia, which celebrated the holiday several hours ahead due to the time zone differences.
