Kellie Pickler's 'Santa Baby' is one of the best country Christmas songs of all time, and she tries that style once again in '(Everybody's Waitin' for) The Man With the Bag,' her latest holiday recording. The versatile singer seems as comfortable weaving around her jazzy horn ensemble as she does the mandolins and acoustics that make up her best country cuts.

On tracks like this, it's like the 27-year-old seems like some '40s chanteuse, transported to Nashville. The melody and lyric are really very simple. In fact, the same verse and chorus is cut twice around a big horn solo.

"Old Mr. Kringle is soon gonna jingle / The bells that'll tingle all your troubles away / Everybody's waiting for the man with the bag / 'Cause Christmas is coming again," Pickler sings to begin 'The Man With the Bag.'

At just two-and-a-half minutes, the worst thing someone could say about Pickler's holiday cut is "Meh," but most will find themselves snapping along to the beat. She carries the song's energy to the very last note.

"He's got a sleigh-full, it's not gonna stay full / Stuff that he's droppin' every stop of the way / Everybody's waiting for the man with the bag / 'Cause Christmas is coming again."

Kay Starr originally cut this song, but the most famous version may be Vonda Shepard's from the 'Ally McBeal' Christmas album, 'Ally McBeal: A Very Ally Christmas.' It's not clear if Pickler has plans to release her single as part of an album, but the song is available at iTunes.

Why Fans Will Love It: There's nothing not to love. Pickler has a voice made for jazzy songs like this, and she leans into them like she does her most powerful ballads.

Key Lyrics: "He's got a sleigh full, it's not gonna stay full / Stuff that he's droppin' every stop of the way / Everybody's waiting for the man with the bag / 'Cause Christmas is coming again"

Did You Know?: Pickler likes to play Santa herself. She said she celebrates this time of giving by clearing out her closets for charity and donating her time. "I’ve always thought it was really neat to just give gifts to people and they don’t know where it came from," the singer shares. "You just know that they needed it, and you don’t need any recognition or need anything for it."
