Kellie Pickler seems surprised to be looking ahead to her fifth studio album. "That's weird to say," she says. "Five!" The process has just begun, but that doesn't mean she's not hard at work.

The 'Little Bit Gypsy' singer spent the morning hours before she talked to Taste of Country sorting through the possibilities. “It’s crazy, you’ll listen to a thousand songs before you find that one that’s right for you,” she says.

So, did she find it?

"I found two today that I love, but who knows. It’s still so early. A year from now it might be in the mix, but something else may come along that takes that spot."

Pickler has been writing and searching for songs for the follow-up to 'The Woman I Am,' her first record on Black River Entertainment. That album was just pressed to vinyl, which is a big deal for the North Carolina-born star. During CMA Fest, she celebrated during a record signing party at the iconic Ernest Tubb Record Shop on Lower Broadway.
